Grooming young minds is our passion

Kalvi Pattarai (Grooming center) identifies areas where Education is given the least importance and areas where there are more School dropouts. Also, we focus on imparting values and personality development to underprivileged kids, apart from academics, with the help of regular activities which help them develop skills and qualities over some time.

A centre for the underprivileged kids which focuses on developing the personality of the kids with the help of regular activities which helps them develop skills and qualities over a period of time.

Three dimensional focus on students

Co-curricular– Grooming centre also acts as a tuition centre where an effective ecosystem is created for the students to sit, study and focus on what has been taught in their class rooms that day. Volunteers are provided by Gold Heart to clarify the doubts of the students. Regular tests are conducted to ensure that students prepare well for their exams.
Extra curricular – Academics develop the knowledge of topics needed technically to qualifyfor a course/job. The extra curricular activities which are conducted for the students help them to develop the necessary skills needed to be successful in life and importantly to be confident to approach life!!!
Values – We believe strongly that when an individual’s fundamental values are right, changing everything else would not be that complicated. Hence we ensure that students who attend our grooming centres learn values too.

Help us Run Kalvi Pattarai

Consistent and vigilant monitoring of their progress is documented in their academics and other extracurricular activities. Also, Psychological counseling is offered on a periodic basis, to overcome their qualms and anxieties and boost their level of confidence.

Gradually, this initiative grew in stature, evolved into a grooming center where children were imparted with cultural values and transformed as socially responsible citizens.

The story of kalvi pattarai

Initially, Kalvi Pattarai was exquisitely born based on the notion to embrace these school-dropout children, with open arms, who had the necessary potential to shine and compete on par with the more fortunate children of economically well-balanced families.

However within a short span of, this was beautifully transformed into a grooming center inclusive of skill development programs, which was the ‘Need Of The Hour’ in such a vulnerable societal background of students to prevent them from falling prey to anti-social elements, such as drug addicts, or any harmful practices prevailing in that community.

We have several Centers in Chennai, and more than 4000 students have benefited in 14 years.

Through KALVI PATTARAI, Gold Heart provides free tuition for all subjects to students from economically poor backgrounds, with parents being daily wage earners or servant maids or any unorganized sector with no assured regular income.
