How Can You Help
Paradise for homeless Girl Children
‘A garden of fragrant flowers’, As the name suggests, we look to provide a paradise for shelter less girl children through this project by taking care of their Baisc needs like Food, Clothing and Shelter.
What we do?
Our Coordinators and volunteers take up survey and rescue homeless children and bring them to our shelter. Here we admit the kid, help her in the schooling Process and ensure holistic development of each kid through various activities.
Our Story so far?
27 angels are residing in our Nandhavanam So far We ensure the holistic development of each child through the following activities and amenities.
You can spend your special and memorable days with our angels by sponsoring a meal.
You can volunteer as Mentors & Tutors, helping with their curricular activities
You can Volunteer as trainer and help them in development of skills & Knowledge in any extra Curricular Activities
You can help in counselling the students (Qualification/experience required)
Nandhavanam
Every Child’s file is maintained individually, which consists of documents that include case history, progress reports recorded during regular meetings and counseling sessions with parents, and Career guidance rendered to the child’s interest. Children are encouraged to participate in several competitions like drawing and abacus competitions conducted by IQIA Academy and ”Shining Stars” conducted by Cognizant Outreach Program.
A signature project of our GOLD HEART FOUNDATION, where rescued homeless children are fetched under our Wings to provide paradise to girl children.
Basic needs of these vibrant, colourful, and fragrant flowers in Nandhavanam, like Food, Clothes, Shelter, Education, and Safety are adequately taken care of.
Project Nandhavanam comes under the National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM-SUH). Our Coordinators and volunteers work in association with the Chennai Corporation to survey and rescue homeless children and bring them to our shelter.
Our activities ensure the holistic development of each child. Our deeds toward achieving this goal can be split into three categories viz.,
Academic activities :
Classes for Abacus | Computer Skills | Evening Tuitions | Audio Visual Education | Spoken English.
Grooming activities:
Regular Health Check-ups | Yoga | Discipline | Child Parliament and Celebrations.
Extracurricular activities:
Bharathanatyam | Carnatic Singing | Art and Craft | Theatre | and Gardening | Parai & Silambham.
Amenities :
Individual Metal Cots | Computer Lab | Washing Machines | CCTV Monitoring System | Library | Kitchen, Dining | Restrooms.
